In 2008 I started on the path to becoming an Account Manager when I joining a mid-sized Managed Services Provider based in Russell Square. I started as an Internal Account Manager where my responsibilities were to help senior members of staff with quotes, licensing renewals and placing orders with the suppliers. This gave me a great introduction into the role and allowed me to gain a deep understanding of the backend systems required to run the business on a day to day basis. After a few years I forced my way into the main Account Management team and in my second year bagged the Sales Person of the Year award. In my next position I decided to try my hand at New Business so joined a company who sold outsourced IT Helpdesk and Network Operating Centre services to other IT companies. It’s fair to say I did a lot of cold calling during my time, but also got to do a lot of fun stuff like networking and presenting the business at various events around Europe.
Since joining the business In May 2014 my job role has gone through a variety of changes. I have become more involved in the Operational and Service Delivery sides of the business and have found myself in a more senior role which I really enjoy. Onsite Is a great company to work for and I love the team spirit we have built. Everyone is willing to help each other and it’s encouraging to see the way the teams are learning and improving under the guidance of the owners and management.
